Coworth Park is the Dorchester Collection's country house and polo estate, set within 240 acres of Berkshire parkland near Ascot, bordering Windsor Great Park, about twenty minutes from Heathrow. A Georgian estate, its Dower House dating to 1776, it was restored and reopened in 2010 as one of the most beautiful five-star country house hotels in England, a study in what the hotel calls natural luxury, all natural tones, light, and a deep connection to its landscape. For a wedding it offers a rare breadth of settings: civil ceremonies in the elegant Oval Room, in the Rose Garden and the Sunken Garden, or in a seasonal wildflower meadow, with a marquee on the lawns for up to 250. The signature dinner in the meadow, a long table set among the wildflowers, is one of the loveliest celebrations in the country. Dining is by the estate's own kitchens, crowned by the Michelin-starred Woven by Adam Smith, with the relaxed Barn alongside, and the wedding party stays across 71 rooms, suites, and cottages, from the Mansion House and the converted Stables to the Dower House. The Mansion House holds elegant rooms and suites; the converted Stables offer characterful rooms and suites with terraces and countryside views; and the private cottages, the Dower House and North Lodge, can be taken whole. The signature suites are extraordinary, among them a room with a tree-trunk bed of intertwining branches, and others with four-posters, copper baths, freestanding tubs, fireplaces, and Juliet balconies over the parkland. On exclusive use, the whole estate sleeps the wedding party together, with the spa open throughout.
