Vibrant, jewel-toned floral design for weddings across London
Shilpa Reddy Flower Design is a London wedding florist working in vibrant, jewel-toned colour rather than the usual white and green, from a full Hindu wedding mandap to a candlelit entrance at The Berkeley.
Shilpa Reddy trained as a doctor before she trained with flowers. In 2015 she left medicine to found her own floral design studio from a small workshop in Wood Green, north London, and nine years and forty-nine five-star Google reviews later, the studio's signature is colour rather than restraint: a full floral mandap built for a Hindu wedding, a jewel-toned ceremony arch inside a pale-blue ballroom, a candlelit entrance dressed for The Berkeley.
The work runs from a single bridal bouquet to a venue-wide transformation, ceremony arches, ballroom installations, cascading staircase displays, long reception tables and intimate tablescapes, chosen, it seems, for what a room and a guest list actually need rather than one repeated house look. Alongside the wedding studio, Shilpa runs a mobile flower school teaching luxury flower arranging, terrarium making and Christmas wreath making, and a longer-term strand of the business builds silk floral installations for hospitality clients including the Rainforest Cafe in Piccadilly.

Shilpa Reddy's own account of her career change is three words long, the headline on her Instagram bio: "Doctor to Florist." She built the business slowly from her own kitchen table before press coverage from Gardeners' World Magazine, BBC Two, The Evening Standard, Metro and Stylist Magazine, and a steady run of five-star Google reviews, turned a career change into a full-time studio. Her signature is colour used generously rather than apologised for. Where many London florists default to white and green, Shilpa's own portfolio runs the other way: a ceremony arch dressed floor to ceiling in fuchsia rose, blue hydrangea and trailing clematis, set against a pale-blue ballroom rather than softened to match it, and a full Hindu wedding mandap, its carved silver pillars framed in rose, dahlia and marigold. Alongside every wedding, she still teaches her own flower-arranging, terrarium and wreath-making workshops, a genuinely two-sided practice rather than a hobby kept on the side.

Big thank you to Shilpa for putting together our lovely wedding florals! Shilpa was really responsive from when I first reached out and leading up to the big day, as well as carrying out a site visit as she wasn't familiar with our venue. All of this was really appreciated and gave us confidence that Shilpa was a great choice for our wedding.
