Haymarket Hotel is one of the most striking wedding venues in London, a Firmdale hotel designed by Kit Kemp inside a landmark Regency building by the architect John Nash, off Haymarket in the very heart of the West End. Step in from Theatreland and the mood changes at once: this is a hotel of bold colour, layered pattern and contemporary art, glamorous and joyful, a world away from the beige of the ordinary city venue.
The signature space is unforgettable. Beneath the hotel lies a famous 18m swimming pool, lit and lined for private hire, where a wedding party of up to around 220 can drink, dine and dance beside the water in one of the most theatrical rooms in London. Upstairs, the Shooting Gallery, its walls hand-painted by de Gournay, is licensed for civil ceremonies and long, candlelit dinners, while the Rocklin and Nash rooms, the Townhouse Drawing Room, the Conservatory and the Library honesty bar give a wedding room after room of Kit Kemp's design.
Brumus, the hotel's bar and restaurant, cooks generous Modern European menus for wedding breakfasts and receptions, and a first-floor terrace opens above the West End for drinks and photographs.
