Cheryl Pagano founded Bella Sposa in 2013, in Sorrento, the town where she had married the year before. She had come to Italy by way of a cruise ship stage, then entertainment management, then tourism, and married there in 2012 saw a specific gap: nobody was offering bespoke planning that understood both international expectations and the way Italy actually works. Thirteen years later she still caps herself at 25 to 30 weddings a season, a ceiling she states plainly rather than dresses up as exclusivity.
The ceremonies she plans are civil, symbolic and multicultural, and the paperwork that foreign couples need to marry legally in Italy, the translations, the town hall appointments, is handled as part of the service rather than left for a couple to discover on their own. Her base is Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, with Capri, Ischia and Procida reachable by the same boats her couples arrive on, and her published reach extends further, to Puglia, Tuscany and Rome.
She works in English and Italian, charges a flat fee rather than a percentage of the wedding budget, and keeps her team small enough that she is personally on site: at least two of her own staff plus a chosen team of local suppliers, never a deputy standing in for her on the day.
