There is no obligation to attend the council registry office, so the whole celebration, ceremony and all, unfolds in the Tuscan sunshine. Couples wanting a Catholic ceremony instead can use a local church, about five minutes away by car.
The wedding dinner is set on long tables above the plain, lit by crystal chandeliers hung in the trees, canopies of fairy lights and hundreds of candles, for 25 to around 100 guests. A chosen caterer, arranged through the estate's wedding planner, serves Tuscan cuisine, from a relaxed wood-fired pizza party to an elegant seated banquet, paired with the wines of Lucca and Tuscany.
