Kasbah des Caïds stands in the Tamnougalt palm oasis, near Agdz in Morocco's Drâa Valley, on the old caravan road between the High Atlas and the Sahara. It is a 16th-century fortress of rammed earth and mud brick, once home to the Amazigh caïds who governed the Mezguita, its courtyards, carved-cedar doors, tadelakt plaster and painted ceilings restored into a heritage sanctuary and reimagined for weddings by the OSUN Collection.
A wedding takes the whole kasbah on exclusive use. Ceremonies are held in the oasis garden by the river, on the panoramic rooftop above the palms, or in the inner courtyards, for anything from a two-person elopement to a celebration of up to 200. Ten boutique rooms lie within the walls, with more in nearby Agdz and Ouarzazate; a hammam and an in-house museum fill the days around the day itself.

Ten boutique rooms lie within the kasbah walls, no two alike: the grand, tall-ceilinged Museum Room off the museum courtyard; rooms in ochre and white with tadelakt plaster and Berber textiles; beds set beneath canopies and arches, cool behind rammed earth a metre thick. For a larger wedding party, further guest accommodation is arranged in Agdz, ten to twenty minutes away, and in Ouarzazate, about an hour on, from boutique riads to eco-lodges.

Kasbah des Caïds is offered venue-only, so couples bring in their own caterer, and the food leans into the flavour of the south: tagines and grilled meats, salads and warm breads, dates from the surrounding oasis, and mint tea poured from a height in the courtyard. Dinners are laid in the inner courtyards or on the rooftop under the stars, and a wedding here often runs across several days, with a welcome feast, the celebration itself, and a farewell breakfast on the terrace as the sun crests the Atlas.
The kasbah's own traditions become part of the table: a cooking lesson in Berber dishes, bread baked in the old ovens, a henna evening, and gnaoua musicians in the restored upper rooms. It is a wedding fed as much by the place and its people as by any menu.
