A Baglio Between the Mountains and the Sea.

Ballium Luxury Relais sits inside the Cavagrande del Cassibile nature reserve, a 19th-century baglio once belonging to Marquis Loffredo, restored around its original stone courtyard. The Iblei Mountains rise on one side; on the other, citrus groves and olive gardens run toward the sea and the Gelsomineto Oasis.

A Civil Ceremony, Courtyard to Portico.

Outdoor spaces hold up to 250 guests for a ceremony or reception; the indoor hall seats up to 90 for a wedding breakfast, and a separate covered portico extends that to 80 more under cover. Civil ceremonies are legally recognised on site, officiated within the estate itself.

External catering is welcomed at Ballium: Sicilian and Mediterranean menus, seated dinners, buffets and show cooking from a trusted partner, from around €150 per person for the main event. A simpler in-house option covers pizza parties and casual gatherings either side of the wedding day.

Beyond the gate, the Cavagrande del Cassibile nature reserve offers walking and cycling trails, mountain bikes and e-bikes on request, and an adjacent private airstrip for scenic flights, all a short walk from the courtyard where the wedding itself takes place.

Ballium sits in Contrada Gallina, inside the Cavagrande del Cassibile nature reserve, roughly 10km from Noto and 20km from Syracuse. Catania Fontanarossa is the nearest major airport, around an hour ten by car; Comiso is a smaller, similarly-timed alternative.

Ballium's own published starting point is the exclusive-use night rate: from €7,000, with further nights from €3,000 and a 25% weekday discount (Monday-Thursday) in June, July and September. Separately, the venue's own team quotes a fuller wedding investment: intimate, exclusive celebrations generally start from €35,000 all-in, and larger, more complex weddings run approximately €60,000-€150,000 depending on guest count, duration and customisation. Main-event catering through the venue's trusted external partner starts from around €150 per person. No single figure covers every couple's day, so the LWD team confirms the exact scope directly with Ballium.
