Weddings at De Vere Horsley Estate

A Ceremony in the Great Hall.

Couples marry in the oak-panelled Great Hall beneath the coats of arms, in the Sopwith for up to 120, or in the estate's secret chapel, then celebrate across the function rooms, the private bar and lounge, and the terrace and lawns below the towers. Drinks and photographs move through the cloisters and down to the lake, and the party carries on into the night in the 1820, with amplified sound until midnight and the whole estate to themselves.

The Table

An Award-Winning Kitchen.

Dining is by the estate's own kitchen, led by an award-winning executive head chef, modern British and seasonal, served in the oak-panelled Great Hall or the function rooms, with a menu tasting included and grazing tables and drinks receptions out on the terrace. External caterers are welcomed from the accredited list where a celebration calls for a specialist kitchen.

The grounds are the estate's quiet showpiece: 75 acres of Surrey parkland with a lake below the towers, a wraparound terrace, a croquet lawn, and the secret chapel and cloisters tucked within. To mark the day, a tree is planted for every wedding guest, and each couple receives a certificate noting the number of trees planted in their name, so the estate keeps growing long after the wedding is over.

Wonderfully so. Ornate turrets, intricate brickwork and battlements, an oak-panelled Great Hall, a tiled chapel and banded cloisters give a wedding here a fairytale, storybook character that very few venues can match.

28 newly refurbished en-suite bedrooms and suites in the Towers Mansion House, from Deluxe rooms and Junior Suites to the luxurious De Vere Suite for the wedding night, with a further 147 bedrooms across the wider estate for larger parties.

Modern British and seasonal, by the estate’s own award-winning executive head chef, served in the Great Hall or the function rooms, with a menu tasting included and grazing tables on the terrace. External caterers are welcomed from the accredited list.

Yes. The estate offers pre-wedding gatherings, from a private dinner and a games room evening in the Towers Pump House to a cozy night in with a film, or an informal outdoor BBQ, so the celebration begins early.

It feels grand and storybook: vows beneath the coats of arms, photographs through the cloisters and by the lake, a feast in the Great Hall, sparklers under a Gothic arch, and the whole historic estate yours from noon until dawn.
