Elisa Prati

Elisa Prati was born and raised in Italy and worked in the fashion and graphic design industries before she worked in events. That is the useful part of the biography, because it explains the eye. She founded the agency in 2014 and has designed and directed more than eighty weddings since, in Italy and in South France, for couples arriving mostly from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Canada and Australia.

She works from Merate, between Milan and Lake Como, with a small team and a stated ceiling of ten weddings a year. Her clients write back to her by name, and to her colleague Pascale by name, which is what a practice of that size looks like from the inside. Her own description of the method is that she starts from the couple and the place rather than from a style, and that she would rather break a rule she knows than follow one she does not.

Most planners at this level describe their capacity as exclusivity. Elisa Prati states a number, in her own words, in a public answer: a maximum of ten weddings per year. It is the difference between a claim and a commitment, and it is the reason dates rather than fees are the thing to ask about first.

From the first Zoom call to the last table cleared.

The engagement runs ten to twelve months, with telephone access on working days and a shared set of documents so the couple can see the plan rather than be told about it. She scouts venues with you and attends the tasting. She handles the paperwork for civil, religious and symbolic ceremonies, which for foreign couples marrying in Italy is the part that quietly derails timelines. Her suppliers are offered rather than imposed: if you already have a florist or a photographer you want, she will work with them within the venue rules. On the day she and her team are on site directing, not on the phone.

Full-Service Planning

Design, planning and coordination of the whole event, ten to twelve months of it, ending with her team on site directing the day. From 9,000 euro plus VAT for a single day, 11,900 for a multi-day celebration.

Wedding Design

The concept, the mood, the palette and the table, built from the building and the season rather than from a template. She does not reuse a scheme, and she says so in the least diplomatic terms available: no Pinterest themes.

Micro-Weddings and Elopements

Two to six people from 5,200 euro plus VAT, seven to thirty from 6,400. Same design process, same paperwork, same on-site direction, at the scale of a dinner rather than a production.

Ceremonies of Every Kind

Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, interfaith, humanist and civil, and same-sex weddings. Including the paperwork foreign couples need to marry legally in Italy.

Lake Como

Puglia and Sicily

Masserie, whitewashed courtyards and stone farmhouses, with the tables outside and the evening running late. The south is where her work looks least like anybody else's.

The venue, the florist and every other supplier are quoted separately and paid separately, which is stated on the same page rather than discovered later.
