Greystone Mansion is a 1928 Tudor Revival estate by architect Gordon Kaufmann, built for oil heir Edward "Ned" Doheny Jr. and kept by the City of Beverly Hills as a public park since 1971. Couples marry in the Formal Garden, its lawn framed by roses and box hedges around a historic fountain, and celebrate in the Inner or West Courtyard, with the mansion's cantilevered Grand Staircase for photographs.

Greystone hosts ceremonies in the Formal Garden for up to 250 guests, and receptions in the Inner Courtyard or West Courtyard for a seated dinner of up to 150. Both are entirely the couple's own for the hours they book, with a prep room and on-site parking included. Unlike almost any comparable landmark, the City of Beverly Hills publishes its wedding fees outright: from $5,800 for residents, $6,900 for non-residents, tiered by guest count and whether the reception runs a ceremony-only hour or a full four-to-six-hour celebration. Couples bring their own caterer from the City's approved list; there is no in-house kitchen, and no on-site accommodation, since Greystone remains, first and always, a public park.

Your Own Caterer, From the City's Approved List.

Greystone has no in-house kitchen. Couples select and contract their own caterer from the City of Beverly Hills' approved Greystone caterer list, names including Wolfgang Puck Catering, 24 Carrots, MBM Catering, Celestino Drago Events and Good Gracious Events, and plan the menu directly with them. Alcohol is host-bar only, through a licensed caterer or server, with additional liquor liability insurance required for hard liquor, wine or champagne service.

Greystone was completed in 1928 by architect Gordon Kaufmann for Edward "Ned" Doheny Jr., heir to his father's California oil fortune. The City of Beverly Hills purchased the estate in 1965 and has run its 18.3 acres as a public park since 1971, one of the few landmark American wedding addresses that belongs to the public rather than a private owner. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it remains one of Los Angeles' most photographed film locations.

A full reception rental (4 to 6 hours, including four hours of vendor setup and two of breakdown, with use of the Formal Garden, the Courtyards, a prep room and the parking lot) runs from $5,800 for up to 75 guests to $8,600 for up to 150 guests if the couple includes a current Beverly Hills resident, and from $6,900 to $10,300 for non-residents. A ceremony-only booking, one hour in the Formal Garden, runs from $2,200 (residents) to $3,400 (non-residents, up to 250 guests). A refundable damage deposit, liability insurance and a public assembly permit are additional; a $1,000 deposit is required to hold the date, non-refundable. Couples bring their own caterer from the City's approved list; there is no in-house kitchen.
