The McQueens Story

McQueens was not built by one designer working alone. Kally Ellis opened the studio's first shop in 1991, and more than three decades on, McQueens works from studios in London, New York and Seoul, with a team large enough to rebuild a fireplace in flower at a Cotswolds country house one weekend and dress a marquee in Oxfordshire the next.

What has not changed since 1991 is the standard: a first consultation that treats a five-hundred-guest wedding and an intimate family ceremony with the same attention, a design process built on visualisations and samples rather than guesswork, and a client list, Claridge's, the Peninsula New York, Vanity Fair's Oscars after-party among them, that reads like a short history of who has trusted London florists with a permanent, repeatable job rather than a single day.
