Pentillie welcomes couples of all faiths, cultures and traditions, with a genuine choice of ceremony settings across the estate: a celebrant-led ceremony under the wisteria, vows at the riverside Bathing Hut, a chuppah, a Nikah, or a hand-tying beneath the trees. The wedding breakfast follows in the castle's historic reception rooms for up to 60, or a marquee on the lawns for up to 200, and the celebration runs as formal or as free as you please, from a live band to a barefoot silent disco.

Catering at Pentillie is bespoke, from a traditional fine-dining seated wedding breakfast to a relaxed feast of sharing platters, drawing on the produce of Cornwall and the Tamar valley. Dinner is served in the castle's historic reception rooms for up to 60, or a marquee on the lawns, with drinks on the terraces and the bar running into the night.

Pentillie sits in a privately owned estate of woodland, gardens and parkland that runs down to the River Tamar. Cedar avenues and green paths lead through the grounds to the water and the riverside Bathing Hut, the gardens rise in terraces to the castle, and there are some of the wow-iest views in Cornwall from the bedroom windows. For the party there is a games room, a farmhouse kitchen, and an outdoor solar-heated pool and sauna, and the freedom of the whole estate for the length of the stay.
