Meet Sorcha

Sorcha Herbert came to floristry by way of textile design. She trained as a weaver, and the instinct that discipline gave her, for how the smallest touches of colour and texture come together to make something enthralling, is still the instinct she designs a wedding bouquet with today. She works from Lillyfee Barn in Wooburn Common, on the edge of the Buckinghamshire countryside, close to Beaconsfield and the Chilterns beyond.

Her own description of the studio's style is direct: natural, organic and a little bit wild, a luxurious yet informal look inspired by the nature on her own doorstep. She favours seasonal flowers, chosen in person on an early morning trip to the flower market each week, and takes on only one wedding a day, so that she can be there in person for the bouquet, the buttonholes and the finishing touches to the venue.

Sorcha Herbert Flowers

The studio is based at Lillyfee Barn in Wooburn Common, a few minutes from Beaconsfield in Buckinghamshire, and works across Buckinghamshire, the Chilterns and the surrounding counties.

Natural, organic and a little bit wild, in her own words: a luxurious yet informal style, inspired by the countryside surrounding the workshop, using seasonal flowers throughout.

Only one wedding a day. Sorcha delivers the bridal bouquet, pins on the buttonholes and oversees the venue decorations herself, in person, on every wedding she takes on.

No fixed minimum is published. Every quote is personalised after a first consultation about your venue, your colours and your budget.

Yes. Sorcha makes an early morning trip to the flower market herself each week to hand-select seasonal stems, a habit she has kept since starting the studio.

Alongside wedding flowers, Sorcha Herbert Flowers offers event flowers, flower deliveries and subscriptions, lifestyle and editorial shoots, and one-to-one floristry classes.

She trained originally in textile design, as a weaver, an influence she credits for her eye for colour and texture and for the way the smallest details come together in her floral designs.
