Meet Tomas

Tomas De Bruyne describes his own work as architecturally inspired and conceptual, floral design that behaves like installation art rather than traditional floristry. The instinct shows across a genuinely worldwide portfolio: a canopy suspended over a glasshouse dinner in Venice, a blush pavilion built for a family wedding in Budapest, a Mughal-inspired Mehndi stage in Lahore, each engineered as a considered structure rather than assembled from a fixed catalogue of arrangements.

A new book, The Art of Design, publishes in 2026, alongside As Above So Below, a twenty-five-metre floral installation opening in Shanghai the same year, one living floral centre designed to read differently from every point of view. Tomas has been recognised across a run of international press and industry titles, and, by his own account, has designed for some of the world's most prestigious stages and celebrations.
