Federica Bartolomei founded Your Secret Tuscany in 2011, fifteen years into a career that started with a degree in Social Science and almost two decades of planning weddings. She still limits herself to a maximum of six weddings above eighty guests a season, published as a ceiling rather than dressed up as scarcity, so that the wedding design she is known for stays personally hers rather than handed to a rotating team.

Federica Bartolomei was born and raised in Tuscany, the region her business is named for, before an international life took her to Madrid, London and now Dubai. That itinerary is not incidental: it is why couples from the US, Brazil, Australia, the Middle East, India and China find a planner who understands the shape of an international wedding rather than a purely local one.

She began working as a wedding planner almost twenty years ago and founded Your Secret Tuscany in 2011. She is a certified wedding designer as well as a planner, which is why every wedding she takes on gets a 3D floor plan and, for couples who want it, a digital rendering of the ceremony or reception before it is ever built. She caps her own season deliberately, a discipline she states rather than implies.

The Season

Six weddings above 80 guests. That is the whole cap.

Federica Bartolomei publishes her own ceiling rather than letting demand imply it: a maximum of six weddings with eighty or more guests a season, alongside ten elopements, ten marriage proposals and four luxury parties. It is the reason a couple should ask about her calendar before anything else.

The Design Comes Before the Guest List.

A first conversation establishes what a couple actually wants and what the wedding will cost to deliver it, before any fee is quoted. From there Federica works from a large, personally inspected database of Italian venues, builds a colour palette and mood board, and produces a 3D floor plan so a couple can see the reception before it exists. For weddings that need it, a full digital rendering shows exactly how the ceremony or reception will look, decorated, before a single supplier is booked. Guest accommodation, transport and the legal paperwork for marrying in Italy are handled as part of the service, and a senior planner coordinates in person on the day with however many assistants the wedding requires.

Full Wedding Design

A certified wedding designer as well as a planner: colour palette, mood board, 3D floor plan and, for couples who want to see it built before it exists, a full digital rendering of the ceremony or reception.

Venue Sourcing

A large, personally inspected database of Italian venues, from a roofless medieval abbey to a hilltop wine estate, filtered to whichever fits a couple's vision rather than offered as a fixed shortlist.

Legal and International Logistics

The paperwork for marrying legally in Italy, plus guest accommodation and transport, handled for couples arriving from a dozen different countries a year.

Same-Sex Weddings

A named, dedicated part of the practice: opera-themed ceremonies, bespoke Chuppahs, and the same design attention as every other wedding Federica takes on.

Tuscany

Home ground. Chianti castles, Siena's ruined abbeys and Florentine wine estates, all sourced from Federica's own personally inspected venue database.

Lake Garda

Isola del Garda's neo-Gothic villa and its Venetian arcades, reached by taxi boat, one of the destinations named on the official FAQ alongside Tuscany.

Your Secret Tuscany does not publish a starting figure or a fixed model. Asked directly how the agency charges, Federica Bartolomei's own answer is that the fee depends on the service required: a first conversation establishes what a couple actually needs, and a tailored planning fee follows from that. It is quoted, not withheld indefinitely, but it is quoted after Federica understands the scope of the wedding rather than before.
