Burlamacchi Villas is a historic family estate above Bagni di Lucca, in the green hills north of Lucca, held by the Burlamacchi family since 1220. It is taken exclusively for a single wedding: symbolic ceremonies in the olive grove and lemon garden, dinners in frescoed salons or across the terraces, an infinity pool and a 14th-century thermal grotto, and 18 rooms and suites sleeping up to 40. Catering is in-house, by a resident chef.
Burlamacchi Villas stands in the green hills above Bagni di Lucca, the old thermal town north of Lucca, a landscape of olive terraces, cypress and chestnut woods that most of Tuscany's crowds never reach. The estate has been held by the Burlamacchi family, a Lucchese name since 1220, and it is still run by them: villas from the eighteenth and sixteenth centuries, frescoed salons, a walled garden, and an infinity pool set against the hills.
The estate is let exclusively, for one wedding at a time. Symbolic ceremonies are held in the olive grove, the lemon garden or beneath the estate's fig tree; dinners follow in the frescoed rooms or across the terraces, catered by a resident chef. Eighteen rooms and suites sleep up to forty, and up to a hundred are seated for dinner. Weddings are from €19,000 for a three-night buyout.

Burlamacchi Villas

Burlamacchi Villas is a historic family estate above Bagni di Lucca, the old thermal town in the green hills north of Lucca, held by the Burlamacchi family, a Lucchese name since 1220. The estate is taken exclusively for a single celebration: symbolic ceremonies in the olive grove, the lemon garden or beneath the estate's fig tree, dinner in the frescoed salons or across the gardens, and eighteen rooms and suites sleeping up to forty for the couple and their guests.
The olive grove and lemon garden, the frescoed salons, the terraces and the pool, for ceremonies and receptions.

Symbolic ceremonies are held in the olive grove, the lemon garden or beneath the estate's fig tree, with the Tuscan hills as the backdrop; the gardens and terraces seat up to 100 for dinner under the stars.

The villa's historic salons and dining rooms, frescoed and candlelit, seat up to 70 for a dinner within the walls, or host drinks and dancing when the evening moves indoors.

The infinity pool and its terraces, framed by olive trees and the hills, for a welcome aperitivo, a poolside brunch the morning after, or a relaxed gathering of up to 50 across the wedding weekend.
18 rooms and suites across the historic villas, sleeping up to 40, with a Bridal Suite in the oldest wing.
The estate sleeps up to forty across its historic villas, in eighteen rooms and suites. Each is individually styled within the old walls, some opening to the gardens and the hills, and the Bridal Suite, in the oldest wing, gives onto a Juliet balcony with a sweep of Tuscan countryside. The couple and their guests take the whole estate, so everyone stays together for the celebration.

In-house catering by a resident chef, Tuscan and Campanian menus with sommelier wine pairings, alfresco or in the frescoed salons.

Drinks
Dining at Burlamacchi is in-house, by a resident chef, and it is the thing guests remember. Menus fuse Tuscan and Campanian traditions, built on ingredients from nearby farms, olive groves and vineyards, with wine pairings curated by a sommelier. A wood-fired oven turns out focaccia and late-night pizzas; cooking classes and wine tastings fill the days around the wedding.

Francesca and her team carefully curated this stunning villa. The privacy of the beautifully manicured property, the large, amazing, decorated rooms, this place was unbelievable, it was hard to leave. The food was the best we had on our Italy vacation, we never had to think about what we were having, the chef always had an incredible meal after another. This place spoils you. Thank you, Francesca and team.
