The great room is the Soane Hall, its columns rising to galleries and a painted apse, so grand and so adaptable that it can be lit gold, blue or purple, dressed with hanging blossom or paper canopies, and set for a ceremony, a banquet and a dancefloor in turn. Alongside it are The Gallery, a lighter, arched-window room dressed with floral arches for ceremonies, the Council Chamber, and a stone-columned Undercroft for the evening, giving a wedding a sequence of dramatic spaces to move through.
