Architecturally inspired, conceptual floral design for weddings and events worldwide
Tomas De Bruyne is a Belgian floral event designer creating architecturally inspired, large-scale installations for weddings from Venice to Budapest, Lahore to Atlanta.
Tomas De Bruyne works from Ruddervoorde, a small town near Bruges, under the name Tomas De Bruyne Bespoke Unique Floral Experiences Worldwide. His own description of the work sets the register: architecturally inspired, conceptual floral design, built at a scale and with a structural ambition closer to installation art than to traditional floristry. Weddings are designed as full spatial experiences, a canopy suspended over a glasshouse dinner, a ceremony pavilion built to hold its own against a lagoon or a palace facade, rather than assembled from a fixed catalogue of arrangements.
The portfolio runs genuinely worldwide: a grand wedding at Misericordia in Venice, a red-themed glasshouse celebration at the JW Marriott Hotel on the same lagoon, a second-generation family wedding carried from Rajasthan to Budapest, a five-day Mehndi-to-wedding celebration in Lahore inspired by Mughal architecture, and a reception at the Biltmore Ballrooms in Atlanta. Tomas has been recognised across a run of international press and industry awards, and a new book, The Art of Design, is publishing in 2026 alongside a twenty-five-metre floral installation opening in Shanghai the same year.

Tomas De Bruyne describes his own work as architecturally inspired and conceptual, floral design that behaves like installation art rather than traditional floristry. The instinct shows across a genuinely worldwide portfolio: a canopy suspended over a glasshouse dinner in Venice, a blush pavilion built for a family wedding in Budapest, a Mughal-inspired Mehndi stage in Lahore, each engineered as a considered structure rather than assembled from a fixed catalogue of arrangements. A new book, The Art of Design, publishes in 2026, alongside As Above So Below, a twenty-five-metre floral installation opening in Shanghai the same year, one living floral centre designed to read differently from every point of view. Tomas has been recognised across a run of international press and industry titles, and, by his own account, has designed for some of the world's most prestigious stages and celebrations.

Tomas is a blessing to the ever-evolving business of floral art and craft in the domain of events. His understanding of the subject is perfect, and the sense of design he effortlessly transforms from ideas to reality is on par with the best in the world. His dedication to impeccable implementation is a virtue that stands out. I had the privilege of collaborating with him on a project of international repute, and he went above and beyond to deliver an experience that only a few could imagine. Tomas made flowers outshine many other elements, creating astonishing installations of art that people will remember for years. I look forward to working with him again soon!

"I'm Tomas, and I create architecturally inspired, conceptual floral design for weddings and events worldwide, from a glasshouse in Venice to a five-day celebration in Lahore. Every commission begins with a conversation about the vision and the venue, then is designed, built and installed on site by me and my team."
