Tropical, colour-forward floral design and full event production across Jamaica
Tai Flora Luxe is a wedding and event design house in Montego Bay, Jamaica, creating tropical, colour-forward floral design and full venue production for destination weddings across the island, in business for over 20 years.
Tai Flora Luxe began, by its own account, almost by accident. Dr. Paulette Hossmann was arranging flowers for hotel lobbies in Montego Bay when a bride, short of time, asked her for a last-minute bouquet. Twenty years later that single favour has grown into one of Jamaica's largest events houses, with five branches across the island's vacation parishes, a staff of more than two hundred, and a floral operation large enough to call itself the country's biggest importer of flowers. Sascha Hossmann now runs the business alongside her.
The floral work leans into the island's own colour vocabulary: bird of paradise, orchid, anthurium and heliconia, built into everything from a single reception centrepiece to a manzanita branch installation strung with crystal and threaded through an entire tent. Ceremony work runs from a clifftop arch above the sea to a floral mandap built for a multi-day South Asian wedding, and the wider business, event planning, decor and production, means a couple can have the flowers and the rest of the day handled by one team.

Dr. Paulette Hossmann's own account of how she got here begins with hotel lobbies, not weddings. She was arranging flowers for Montego Bay hotels when a bride, short on time, asked her to put together a bridal bouquet, a spontaneous request that became, in the studio's own words, the foundation of her career. Twenty years on, she runs Tai Flora Luxe alongside Sascha Hossmann, together overseeing a staff of more than two hundred florists, carpenters and planners across five branches on the island. The studio's scale, Jamaica's largest importer of flowers, five branches across the vacation parishes, is unusual for a business that still describes its own beginning as one last-minute bouquet. It has been recognised with the Caribbean Wedding Industry's Event Planner and Floral Designer award, and its work has appeared, by its own account, in Brides, The Knot and Style Me Pretty, among other titles. For a couple planning a destination wedding in Jamaica, that combination, a large, established operation with a personal, accidental origin story, is a reassuring one.
