Natural, organic and a little bit wild wedding flowers
Sorcha Herbert Flowers is a studio-based wedding florist in Wooburn Common, near Beaconsfield, creating a natural, organic and luxuriously informal style of wedding flowers, inspired by the countryside on her own doorstep.
Sorcha Herbert runs her wedding floristry studio from Lillyfee Barn in Wooburn Common, a few minutes from Beaconsfield in the Buckinghamshire countryside. Her style is natural, organic and a little bit wild: a luxurious yet informal look, drawn from the hedgerows, fields and woodland that surround her workshop rather than from any single fixed palette.
Sorcha trained originally in textile design, as a weaver, and that background still shapes the way she builds a bouquet now, an eye for how small touches of colour and texture combine into something that feels considered rather than arranged. She still makes an early morning trip to the flower market herself to hand-select every stem, and takes on only one wedding a day, so that she can deliver the bridal bouquet, pin on the buttonholes and see every last detail of the day's flowers through in person.

Sorcha Herbert came to floristry by way of textile design. She trained as a weaver, and the instinct that discipline gave her, for how the smallest touches of colour and texture come together to make something enthralling, is still the instinct she designs a wedding bouquet with today. She works from Lillyfee Barn in Wooburn Common, on the edge of the Buckinghamshire countryside, close to Beaconsfield and the Chilterns beyond. Her own description of the studio's style is direct: natural, organic and a little bit wild, a luxurious yet informal look inspired by the nature on her own doorstep. She favours seasonal flowers, chosen in person on an early morning trip to the flower market each week, and takes on only one wedding a day, so that she can be there in person for the bouquet, the buttonholes and the finishing touches to the venue.

"I'm Sorcha, the florist behind Sorcha Herbert Flowers. My aim is to help build memorable experiences with beautifully designed flowers, through true togetherness with my clients. I trained originally in textile design, as a weaver, and it's given me a lasting love of colour and texture, which is why I still make an early morning trip to the flower market to hand-select every bloom myself. I only take on one wedding a day, so I can deliver your bouquet, pin on the buttonholes and see every last detail of your flowers through in person."
