Lada Fiori is a Bergamo-based floral design studio building suspended installations and glass ceremony structures for weddings across Lake Como, Lake Garda, Sorrento and Sardinia.
Lada Fiori works from Bergamo, in Lombardy, under the name of its founder, Lada Damaschin. Her daughter Natalie designs the studio's weddings today, and the two describe the work in a single line on their own site: Italian good taste and Swiss precision, built for connoisseurs of beauty. It shows in installations that lean structural rather than simply arranged, glass-framed ceremony canopies suspended in cascades of white rose and orchid, disco spheres hung among clouds of dried gypsophila over a reception table, an entire aisle turned into a single considered picture from above.
The portfolio runs the length of northern Italy's grandest lake addresses and beyond: Villa Balbiano and Villa Cipressi on Lake Como, Torre San Marco on Lake Garda, Villa Silvana in Sorrento, Villa Aura and the Grand Hotel Imperiale, with the studio's own site naming Porto Rotondo and Porto Cervo, in Sardinia, among the destinations it travels to. The house style favours structure over simple arrangement: glass-framed canopies suspended above the aisle, rather than a fixed arch; a reception ceiling hung with disco spheres and clouds of dried gypsophila, rather than a single centrepiece repeated down the table. Where the design calls for restraint, as at a real documentary wedding at Villa Cipressi, the same precision holds, white rose and olive dressing a lakefront arch without competing with the water behind it.
