Ballium Luxury Relais occupies a baglio, the fortified courtyard estate that once organised the working life of rural Sicily, on the edge of the Cavagrande del Cassibile nature reserve near Avola. The residence dates to the first half of the 1800s and once belonged to Marquis Loffredo; a conservative restoration, completed in March 2018, kept the original stonework and courtyard plan while adding fifteen rooms across four categories and every modern comfort a wedding weekend now expects.
Couples take the estate in exclusive use for a single event a day. Outdoor spaces, the courtyard, the gardens and the wider grounds, hold up to 250 guests for a ceremony or reception; the indoor hall seats up to 90 for a wedding breakfast, with an additional covered portico for up to 80. Civil ceremonies are legally recognised on site. Fifteen rooms, sleeping up to 46 guests, let the wedding party stay together: one suite has its own hot tub facing the Iblei Mountains, four more open onto sea-facing balconies toward the Gelsomineto Oasis.

Ballium's own published starting point is the exclusive-use night rate: from €7,000, with further nights from €3,000 and a 25% weekday discount (Monday-Thursday) in June, July and September.
