Eleonora Bonomi trained in cinematic scenography and worked on film and theatre sets before the company she founded became a wedding agency. Dream On Wedding plans, designs and builds weddings from its own studio, workshop and warehouse in Marsciano, in the province of Perugia, across Umbria and the rest of Italy.
Umbria is the only region in peninsular Italy that touches neither the sea nor a foreign border. What it has instead is height: hill towns on limestone spurs, oak woods, olive terraces, Romanesque abbeys with their roofs still on, and castles that were built to watch each other across a valley. It sits directly under Tuscany and directly above Rome, which is the practical reason a couple can hold a wedding here for what a lesser address costs an hour to the north.
Dream On Wedding works out of Marsciano, a town between Perugia and Todi. Eleonora Bonomi founded it, and her training is the thing that makes the agency different from its neighbours. She graduated in Science and Technology for Artistic Production, specialised in Cinematic Scenography, and spent several years on film and theatre sets in Italy and abroad. The company began by building scenographic set-ups for corporate events. It became a wedding agency second.
That order of events is visible in how the work is made. There is a design studio that produces moodboards, scenographic sketches and 3D renderings. There is a workshop where pieces are built by hand. There is a warehouse of furniture, because the founder buys the sofa as well as the candlestick. There are florists trained inside the company rather than booked outside it. And there are the agency's own trucks, which is why the couple gets one contact and one invoice rather than nine.
The register of the work is quiet. A glasshouse aisle lined with urns. A civil ceremony on a lawn with the mayor's tricolour sash and a farmhouse behind the trees. A long table under a tree at sunset with glass baubles hung in the branches. A ceremony held under one oak, with a hundred guests seated in its shade. Nothing in that list is doing an impression of somewhere else.

No planning fee is published on the agency's site or on its directory listing, so the figure is quoted against the event. What is published is the structure: this is an agency that manages the whole budget with itself as the single contact and single supplier, rather than a consultancy that hands you nine contracts. Their own guide puts a typical Italian wedding budget for international couples at 40,000 to 60,000 euro, with intimate weddings from 25,000 and multi-day weekends from 60,000, but those are whole wedding budgets rather than a fee.
The office, showroom and warehouse are on Via dei Mattoni in Marsciano, between Perugia and Todi in Umbria. Umbria is the home ground. It begins four to six weeks before the event. One month out they take your checklists and the contact details of every supplier, speak to each of them about how they work, and write a single detailed programme that is shared with everybody involved. On the day they supervise the build and the strike of the decor, hold the timeline, support the couple through the ceremony, look after the guests and absorb the problems.
Yes, which is unusual. They have their own florists, trained inside the agency to deliver the design project exactly as drawn. They have a workshop for building pieces, a warehouse of furniture and props, and their own trucks. The stated advantage is one contact, no error between the drawing and the object, and no delivery charges from a chain of separate suppliers.
Yes, physically. Behind the office are what the agency calls its technical spaces, where the setups are actually built in advance so a couple can look at alternatives in real life rather than imagining them. They will do the same by video call for couples who cannot travel. They describe it as extra work they choose to do, because planning a wedding out of pure imagination is exhausting.
