A Glamorous London Wedding at The EDITION.
A glamorous five-star design hotel in Fitzrovia, for a wedding with the polish of a great city hotel.
The London EDITION is a glamorous five-star hotel by Ian Schrager and Marriott, set behind a Grade II listed Georgian facade in Fitzrovia. Weddings unfold around its celebrated spaces: Berners Tavern, Jason Atherton's soaring gallery-hung restaurant, for the wedding breakfast; private event studios for the ceremony; the award-winning Punch Room and a sculptural lobby lounge for cocktails; a rooftop terrace for photographs; and 173 warm oak-panelled rooms and suites so guests stay under one roof in the heart of London.
The London EDITION is one of the most glamorous hotels in the city, a five-star design hotel dreamed up by Ian Schrager, the man behind Studio 54 and the boutique-hotel movement, and Marriott, set behind a Grade II listed Georgian facade on Berners Street in Fitzrovia. It is a wedding venue for couples who want the drama and polish of a great city hotel rather than a country house: warm, dark, theatrical, and unmistakably London.
Its heart is Berners Tavern, Jason Atherton's soaring restaurant, its walls hung salon-style with hundreds of framed pictures beneath a vast ornate plaster ceiling, one of the most photographed rooms in London and a spectacular setting for a wedding breakfast. Alongside it are the sculptural lobby lounge, chequerboard-floored beneath silver egg sculptures and a stone fireplace, and the award-winning Punch Room, an intimate panelled cocktail bar, giving a wedding a sequence of glamorous rooms for the ceremony, the dinner and the drinks.
Guests stay in 173 warm oak-panelled rooms and suites upstairs, a calm counterpoint to the drama below, and drinks and photographs move up to the rooftop terrace. Catering is by the hotel's own celebrated kitchen, cocktails by the Punch Room, and the whole of central London, Oxford Circus, Soho, the West End, is on the doorstep. It is a wedding of real glamour, in the heart of the city, with everyone under one roof.

The amazing Pawla ensured the wedding reception we were attending at the hotel ran like clockwork, yet appeared to be working effortlessly. The Chef and Kitchen Team provided the most exquisite wedding breakfast, probably the best meal I have eaten in years, along with all the waiting staff, who are polite, hardworking and delightful.
