Ilaria Guarino and Serena Ranieri founded Italian Event Planners in 2011. Fifteen years on, their own site documents weddings across the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento, Tuscany, Umbria, Lake Como, Veneto, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily and Rome, with Annachiara Varriale, a multilingual destination specialist, working alongside them.
Their portfolio, roughly fifty-five real named weddings deep on their own site, is unusually varied for a single agency: Hindu ceremonies, same-sex weddings, a Scottish groom married in a kilt under a Tuscan sunflower arch, traditional Chinese wedding attire on a gravel drive outside Florence. What recurs is not a single aesthetic but a level of coordination: welcome dinners, boat tours, post-wedding beach parties, guest travel and accommodation, run for couples who are often planning from another country entirely.

Dream wedding in Ravello
The team at Italian Event Planners were instrumental in helping us put on the wedding of our dreams. They went above and beyond during the process and helped break things down for us every step of the way. Their communication with us was excellent and they would always respond to messages straight away, even during out of hours, and this helped put our minds at ease. When we were in Italy, they arranged various meetings with us and were always present. Clearly, the suppliers have a lot of respect for them and their professionalism is key. Every member of the team, Serena, Ilaria and Annachiara has their own strengths and it was amazing being able to rely on each of them for different aspects. They also organised a welcome party for the night before the wedding which was arranged perfectly. The wedding day was beyond what we had dreamed of. We would highly recommend IEP for weddings in Italy.
