Castello di Montignano is a fortress in the hills above Massa Martana, recorded in documents from 962, restored as a Relais and Spa in Umbria. Stone walls, medieval arches, a vaulted cloister and an outdoor pool set within gardens that run to a century-old olive tree form the backdrop for weddings reserved exclusively for one party at a time.
Couples take the whole castle: a ceremony in the cloister courtyard or the fireplace hall, a celebration in the park for up to 250, and the Acqua Degna Spa carved into the original dungeons, with its hydromassage pool, tepidarium, caldarium and organic treatments.
