The dramatic 600-year Auld Keep, with original stonework, vaulted ceilings and rooftop views of the Forth bridges, stands beside a Georgian mansion house, in the seclusion of the castle's own estate and loch. Couples marry in the Auld Keep, the walled courtyard or on the lawn, feast by candlelight in the 15th-century Stag Chamber or the Croquet Room, and celebrate for up to 200 in the Pavilion, with 17 bedrooms so the whole party stays within the walls.
Dundas Castle is one of Scotland's most atmospheric wedding venues, a private, exclusive-use castle estate near South Queensferry, only a short way west of Edinburgh yet secluded within its own estate and loch. At its heart stands the dramatic 600-year-old Auld Keep, its medieval rooms all original stonework walls and vaulted ceilings, with rooftop views out to the Forth bridges, alongside an elegant Georgian mansion house of grand reception rooms.
On exclusive use, the whole castle belongs solely to you and your guests. Couples marry beneath the vaulted stone of the Auld Keep's Great Hall, in the walled courtyard around its fountain, or out on the lawn with the castle behind. Candlelit feasts are laid in the 15th-century Stag Chamber, wedding breakfasts in the elegant Croquet Room, and larger celebrations, with dinner and dancing into the night for up to 200, in the Pavilion.
Dining is in-house, five-star cooking by Heritage Portfolio, and seventeen individually styled bedrooms sleep up to thirty-seven adults, so the whole party stays within the walls. Beyond the castle lie gardens, a loch with its own Boathouse, and estate pursuits from falconry to whisky tasting, so a wedding here becomes a Scottish weekend in a castle of your own.

Dundas Castle has seventeen individually styled bedrooms within its walls, sleeping up to thirty-seven adults each night, dressed in rich colour, patterned fabrics and antique furniture, each with its own character. On exclusive use the whole castle is yours, so close family and friends stay together across the wedding weekend, the grandest of the rooms kept for the couple, and everyone wakes to the estate, the gardens and the loch beyond the windows.

Menus are seasonal and modern Scottish, planned with the couple and tasted beforehand, with Champagne and whisky, and the celebration carries on with dancing into the night in the castle of your own.
